At the foot of the Alpilles, Eygalières is next to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the Bouches-du-Rhône. It is one of the most beautiful villages in France where historical and cultural tourism (heritage and festivals), “relaxation” tourism (guest rooms) and green tourism (hiking, golf) mix.
You can visit some historical monuments such as the Chapel of St. Lawrence, the Old Village, the ruins of the castle or the refuge of Jean Moulin, …
For unrepentant golfers, Mas de L’Evidence is close to the most beautiful golf courses in the region.
1900 agricultural mas of 280 m2 with swimming pool, it consists of 3 bedrooms, a family suite, and a self-contained apartment.
It has large living rooms with a large living room, a winter dining room, and a summer dining room protected by an awning and a large veranda.
A one-hectare park surrounds the Mas, and you will find all year-round vegetation that makes the charm of this region. Olives, cypresses, lavender beds, roses and other regional plants embellish the Mas with essences and colours.
Formerly called Mas de l’Éspine, today the Mas de l’Evidence is a home to recharge, relax and enjoy all the cultural and sporting activities present in this beautiful region of the Alpilles, in the heart of Provence and close to the Camargue.
This Mas is for me a very nice meeting with the region, with the former owner who welcomed me in November 2018, while I was looking for where to sleep at the beginning of winter…
This providential encounter was also a no-brainer when she offered to buy it, while my personal and professional life was undergoing a transformation.
It is in this profound and profuse period of my life, of various changes, and in this Mas, that I will finish my first novel:
“The Blue Butterfly: On the Way to My Renaissance” under my author name Blanche Darchin.
That is why the communication of this Mas is surrounded by butterflies, symbol of my imaginal moult, my mutation and my rebirth…
Veterinary doctor, I had the chance to discover Art and Culture, in all its forms, from an early age.
Verdi’s Italian opera in Puccini, Renaissance and Italian quattrocento painting, literature, cinema…
During my veterinary studies, I attended evening lectures on the history of art for a year, with a cycle entitled “From Gustave Courbet, leader of the French realist movement, to modern and contemporary painters.”
This training was given at Lyon University 1 by the curator of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMC) in Saint-Etienne.
In my family, jazz and opera have always rocked our Sundays and our long winter evenings.
I have had the chance to participate in many jazz and opera festivals in many European cities and in France.
In the Mas de l’Evidence, you will have the opportunity to be at home and choose your operas, films, music and readings…
Lovers of the history of France and contemporary, you can also discover in this region where Jean Moulin, close to my paternal grandparents, high resistance fighters and fighters, discovered many reminders about the life of this man who actively participated in the liberation of our French territory.
The Baux de Provence with their stone quarries and beautiful wall exhibits is nearby, as well as monuments that rocked our childhood with the Moulin of Alphonse Daudet and its famous letters…
